Fire Damages Historic Chicago Building
An extra alarm blaze damaged a historic building Thursday morning on Chicago's South Side.
The inferno began early on January 28, at 2:45 a.m. (CST), at the 47th Street Market Place- which houses a popular restaurant called Blu 47, as well as an office for the Jamaican Consulate.
The building is located in the historic Bronzeville neighborhood, which was once home to one of the nation's largest African American populations in the early 20th Century.
