    My Opinion-Don't ask Don't Tell

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     gr8telephant often comments on political issues. Here, he offers his opinion on 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell.' What's your take?
    - katie, CNN iReport producer

I don't think its the role of government to tell people just because you think a certain way (like some one of the same sex, or even like someone of the opposite sex) that you can't serve your country. It doesn't make any sense to kick people out of the military just because they ADMITTED that they're gay, because that doesn't change the fact that they've been gay the whole time they've been serving, and as long as they don't violate orders, commit crimes, or not take orders, there no reason why they should be kicked out. I think there is a difference between banning homosexual/heterosexual acts in the military, and banning admitting you are a certain orientation. What orientation you are is about how you think about people, and who you like and who you don't like, and that's a personal issue and has NOTHING to do with the government.
