Saints fever fuels Mardi Gras |
Nights of Nemesis Parade in St. Bernard Parish
I was going to go to an Open Mike in Slidell this afternoon, but due to brake problems, I ended up staying in town and I said what the heck ... I'll check out the Nights of Nemesis Parade in Chalmette, a town in St. Bernard Parish. First time ever to this particular parade, and the Superbowl ferver has definitely made it into Mardis Gras this year. Both the people in the parade and the spectators were sporting Saints tee shirts and alot of the floats had Saints themed "throws" (the beads and other items that get tossed into the crowd off the floats.) One float was even completely dedicated to the Saints!
There's parades almost back to back this weekend and I end to attend and document as many I can. I also have video of the parade but need to edit that before I can upload it. The file size of the video is One Gigabyte! A bit big for an IReport upload!
