'Cake Boss' Goes Polar in Coney Island

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjunat55 went out to capture images of the Coney Island polar bear swimmers' weekly swim when he spotted a cake presented by TLC Cake Boss Buddy Valastro. The cake features a pool and polar bears and swimmers. Julio says it was really cold outside and there was snow on the sand, so it must have been super-cold. He dipped his feet in the water and didn't know how anyone could do it. check out more photos here.

    Polar cake, that is.
The Coney Island Polar Bear Club plunges into the cold Atlantic Ocean every Sunday from November through April, weather permitting or not.
Sunday, February 7th, with the air temperature in the low 20's was no exception.
But the Coney bears got an extra treat: an awesome polar cake designed exclusively for them by reality TV's "Cake Boss", the show set in Hoboken New Jersey's Carlo's Bakery.
The "boss" himself, award winning cake designer Buddy Valastro was there to make the presentation. Featuring swimmers, a body of water, cascading waters and polar bears, it was the icing on an icy afternoon.
After the Polar Bears took a dive into the cold ocean waters (here was still snow on the sand from the edge of the storm the day before), Buddy and some of his team took a plunge.
