Romanian Orthodox Funeral in Moldavia Region Part Seven
This is a video from atop the hillside as the procession made its way along the frozen road to the biserica and the cemetery for the services. We walked about 2 km to the center of town to the biserica, one of three in the Orthodox faith, which is the predominant religion here. Over 90 percent of the people are Romanian Orthodox and about 4-5 percent are Catholic. For a village community, it is unusual, but there are three of each denomination here within a manageable distance. It may be a small community, but the churches are always full.
