Larry King Live: Your questions |
Education
Hello, First Lady Michelle Obama:
Please, tell your husband that extending school days will not work in the inner-city, if values and morals aren't sustain. Education is key, however; our young people don't often see the instant gratification of pursuing an education. Have you and President Obama thought about strategies and ways to stress the importance of education to young people through media? Will you please have the education committee institute tracking, again? Will you please have the education committee reform early math education by changing the spiraling curriculum, in most inner-cities, to focus more on the foundation of mathematics? While I understand the importance of early exposure, it's ruining the developmental stages of math comprehension. Unfortunately, this is having a negative impact on the acceptance of mathematics. Thank you for listening, First Lady!
