10 to 14 inches of snow for Chicago
It's been a different winter for the people of Chicago this year. Even though we almost hit our snowfall averages for January it really didn't feel like recent years. February was looking to be the same until last night when a snow system (I won't call it a storm since it seems too tame for that) moved into the area. The forecast calls for a pretty much constant fall of snow until Wednesday night. Some of the out lining areas may get high winds creating blizzard like conditions. Here in the city we are getting a even snow fall.
I just went out and did my first shoveling of our back yard and walk. I imagine I will do it twice more to keep the walkways low and provide a space for the dog to do her bathroom business. She is only 10 inches tall at the shoulder so if we do get 14" she will have some issues finding a place to go. Poor kid.
