Black History Celebration
Hello to whom it concerns,
My name is Louisa J. Laroche; a NYU: Polytechnic institute Student and a proud member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Founded in 1975 the National Society of Black Engineers is a student run national organization spanning USA, Canada, and Africa. Our core mission statement is to "Increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community."
Our chapter, POLY NSBE is a shinning a torch on how we live our mission statement along with remembering our history as African Americans. On February 26, 2010 we invite you, CNN, to join us in our Black History Celebration; entitled "Reflections of the Origin of the Torch". Our special guests includes the founding members of the National Society of Black Engineers.
