Boy Scouts turn 100 |
Summer Camp 2009
Scouting gives opportunity for boys to experience many activities that otherwise not easily available to most families. Backpacking, Canoeing, One week long summer camp are some events related to BSA programs. My oldest son is an eagle scout and now I am back for the second time with my youngest son, both are scouts in Troop 700 in Aliso Viejo CA. My sons love summer camps. With my youngest son, we went to Camp Emerson in the Iddylwild area last July. Besides earning the merit badges, he and his buddies got a chance to hike the Tahquitz peak. A week away from TV, Video games, and the other low physical activities is a good relieve for many boys......, earning the merit badges and doing the requirements for the rank advancements will affect the boys character!
