    The Road Came Tumbling Down, California Storms Hit Hard

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Pixel told me, 'Winter means mudslides and floods.. road closures and evacuations. This can all happen in one day and then sunny and dry the next. Unpredictable to say the least. We definitely need to dry out.'

    Southern California has been hit hard by a series of storms that have been passing through.In Malibu and other areas along the coast the concern is road closures due to flooding,mud and rocks on the highway. Rambla Pacifico Rd., in Malibu  collapsed  making alternative routes a must for the residents in this area. An estimated re-opening of this road is June 30 2010. In many areas the rain has created mudslides. People in La Canada Flintridge have had to evacuate their homes off and on for weeks. Mandatory evacuations  were required in Acton today. Time to dry up before Southern California slides into the Pacific Ocean!
