Equal Rights for Gays in the Military

As a young teenager, I rented a room from a gay man, and never knew he was gay until years later. He could sense I was straight, and in 1968, I was really impressed with his large collection of Playboy Magazines; no doubt a cover-up for his true desires....LOL But he was always a kind friend to me, and never made advances, and kept it a secret until years later.

In Vietnam, once, I remember the DRUNKS from the enlisted men's club finding out that two men were sucking on each other's dicks in the hutch they lived in, and went out and threw stones at them as they ran out near the barbed wire perimeter. These drunken men were mostly concerned about the prostitutes they were going to have for five dollars a shot when they would truck them in on Saturday night, and I guess they didn't want anybody else to have fun in our company area....LOL

Every man who has ever showered in a high school gym, a YMCA, or a Bally's Health Spa, has showered with gays. I didn't notice any impairment in regards to these activities. Gay men in the shower did not inhibit the activities at these phys ed locations.

Any guy who has been in the military during the Vietnam War has showered and served alongside gay men, and not even known about it, yet it sure didn't impair their fighting ability.

Finally, I might point out the most famous STRAIGHT SOLDIER who got out of his military obligations by pretending he was gay. Yup. The famous guitarist, Jimmie Hendrix, got out of the Army by telling then he was gay....LOL

There are some people among us who still think black people ought to be slaves. Some people will always live in the past. GAY RIGHTS ARE EQUAL RIGHTS!
