Rare Color of Yosemite's HorseTail Falls
Rare Photograph of the Strawberry-Milk Shake Color of water
Horsetail Falls was made famous by the late Galen Rowell in his "Natural Firefall" photograph (even though Ansel Adams did document this waterfall in his signature black-and-white landscape photos). Since then, Yosemite visitors now days try to find the spots to take the photograph like Rowells Ihave been taking Horsetail Falls Photographs for years now and each time it may vary from rare red but usealy it turns yellow or oange bu these weekst these extrem Rare color these year ther are diffrent spots to shot the water fall at Sunset time in the valley of Yosemite
To get to perhaps the best spot for photographing the falls, drive 1.7 miles west of Yosemite Lodge on the Northside Drive. There is a picnic area on the right hand side where you can find parking
People may remmber Camp Currys FireFall (Curry owner new that his guest could not see it all the time so he made his own to entertain guest every night
the firefall was a spectacle that took place back in Yosemite's early days. It consisted of people getting up to Glacier Point, setting dead branches on fire, and throwing them over the cliff to the valley over a thousand feet below. Obviously this delighted summer holiday-makers at what was then Camp Curry (now Curry Village). But eventually this practice was discontinued Horsetail Falls Can be seen if ther are no cloouds or weather that blocks the Sn at sunset and only last for few days in February
