CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Pixel told me the poses were 'incredible' to see in person.
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

I attended the 7th annual yoga Asana Championship in Los Angeles, California, known as the Bishnu Charan Ghosh Cup 2010.  Bikram Choudhury, founder of Bikram Yoga, studied in India under Bishnu Ghosh.  In 2003 Bikram began an International  Championship in his honor. The finalist's skills, athleticism, and grace were unbelievable. One can certainly see why Bikram's goal is to get Yoga to the olympics. The Bikram series combines 26 traditional Hatha yoga postures and two breathing exercises. This all takes place in a studio heated to 105 degrees!  Bikram studios are located throughout the world, and are spreading like wild fire. People come to love the intense workout they receive, strengthening body and mind. Bikram's approach to yoga is a unique, no nonsense style. It's tough love, and it is delivered in a way that makes students realize their full capabilities. "Americans want it easy" Bikram says. His classes are intense, driven, and challenge every aspect of one's endurance. As a long time practitioner of  "Bikrams torture chamber" I find the skills that I have developed here can be applied in one's daily life. Perseverance and tenacity a must... never, ever, give up. Leave the limits of your mind and body at the door, Bikram has other plans for you!  His dedication to the practice of yoga is phenomenal, and the results for the body, mind, and spirit of those who regularly practice are life changing.
