Celebration Kicks Off GE’s Healthymagination.com in Vancouver
Vancouver BC, Friday, February 19, 2010: You can’t win a medal or enjoy the Games if your health is on ice….
In a salute to the medical staff and volunteers at Vancouver Winter Olympics who dedicate themselves to keeping athletes and fans healthy throughout the Games, Olympic Medalists Michelle Kwan, Scott Hamilton, Martin Brodeur, and Angela Ruggiero joined the “Better Health Heroes” on the ice for a celebratory skate.
The group skate was preceded by a lively chat about the events and competition in Vancouver and a discussion on the importance of healthy living featuring the Olympians, VANOC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jack Taunton and GE healthymagination Vice President Mike Barber.
The discussion focused on tips for healthy living, how these active and retired athletes have learned to prioritize and focus on their own wellness and how the athletes of the XXI Winter Games did the same in preparation for their events.
healthymagination.com provides helpful tools and useful information for consumers to take a more proactive role in their own better health. Nathan King was on hand in downtown Vancouver and has more for the CNN iReport .
