    Hospice

The week began with BJ suddenly refusing to eat and drink. Was he becoming septicemic again? Should I call the ambulance? As the dementia progresses, caregivers must emotionally adapt as well as learn new skills. This becomes increasingly difficult and at some point impossible. That happened to me. The good news is that it motivated me to search for help - and I found it! BJ was admitted to hospice. Although this may seem like a sad milestone it is not. I'll tell you why in future posts.
