    Book Across The Bay

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     This iReporter told us the Book Across the Bay event is a unique tradition in the midwest. People dress in costume; one member of his party came as a leprechaun. "It was very unique. when the dog days of winter arrive, you really need something to keep you busy."

    The 14th Annual "Book Across the Bay" XC ski/snowshoe race. Took place Feb. 20th.  The 10k course crosses Chequamegon Bay on the south shore of  Lake Superior The race path is lit up with over 1000 ice luminaries.  Our crew chose an ugly sweater theme.  As the pictures demonstrate a great time was had by all.

    Quite simply one of the best run winter events in the midwest.
