24 HOUR PROM DRESS COLLECTION DRIVE

Dress of my dreams has teamed up with sister organizations in the U.S. and Canada to hold a nationwide prom dress collection effort.
Dress of my dreams in Atlanta, Georgia has joined forces with many of their sister organizations under "donatemydress.org"  in an effort to collectively reach out nationwide in the form of a 24 hour prom dress collection drive. All of our organizations have made a commitment to be of assistance to these young ladies within our communities during this special and exciting time.
Prom season is fast approaching and we all have many, many young ladies who are in need of assistance for this special time in their lives.  Think back to when you went to your high school prom, wasn't it exciting? Or maybe, like the young ladies we offer our support to, you did not go because you did not have the means to pay for the necessary formal attire? Unfortunately, prom is a huge expense that not every family is able to shoulder the cost of.
Donations of gently used formal attire, corporate sponsorships, and monetary donations are needed to ensure our organizations are able to continue our mission to give assistance to as many needy high school girls as possible.   Without the assistance of our organizations located through out out the US, many young ladies would not be able to go.
The purpose of this event is two-fold. Our main goal is to collect dresses which will enable us to give support to as many young ladies as possible. Our second goal is to garner the support of the community as well as gain the support of corporate sponsorship.
Our organizations encourage local local churches, schools, businesses, police precincts, fire stations, etc to be a drop off location for this trememdous undertaking. Our numbers will be updated every hour and there will be door prizes and giveaways at drop off locations.  All businesses that participate by being a drop off location or donating services/ items needed will receive advertising on our website as a sponsor.
For this event, our organizations are asking everyone to use all outlets and social networks available to us such as Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, etc to spread the word as well as local media.
