GREECE FOOD & DRINKS DIPLOMACY, ROMANIA
I don't believe any country in the world wouldl want to miss any opportunity to showcase its cultural uniqueness as happened yesterday, 24 February, at the Sala Palatului cultural center in Bucharest where the food and drinks exhibition showxasing Greece took place..Over 38 companies were deployed by the Greek business community as a seeming army to do battle with their Romanian challengers. The companies participating had come from various sectors of the food industry as revealed to us in an interview in the food court...
About 80 Romanian companies have expressed an interest inmeeting with their Greek counterparts, where the meetings would be well-cordinated by the organizer.. Greek food industry revenue worldwide has decreased only three percent this year in the midst of the economic crisis. This speaks volumes concering the popularity of Greek cuisine throughout the world. Greek exports to Romania have surprisingly increased by 17% in the last year and was a major factor in choosing Romania for this exposition..
This was the first time the food and drinks fair was held showcasing Greek food in Buchares. Spartan Olive Oil was flowing as celebrity chef, and cookbook author,Maria Loi commented to our corespondent. This reporter confessesed he tried to sample all the Greek pastries represented, but to no avail-- there were too many..What a day I had and have need to rest to prepare for today's project of engaging several companies in active participatiion in our 3-1=2.campaign, where we encourage all people to forgo one meal per day to feed one who is less fortunate...
