This iReport is part of an assignment:
Wintry weather near you |
New Hyde Park, New York
I woke up this morning to see this, I am in the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York.
I urge the public to be careful out there. If you need to stay updated to Subway and Bus information. They can be found on Twitter at: MTAInsider and NYCTSubwayScoop or www.mta.info.
Drive safe, buckle up and stay two or three car distance when visibility is limited. Turn on your headlights in this bad weather so others can see you coming.
Most importantly!! Kids are out of School, keep a close eye to your children. Snow covers pot holes and down wires. Watch for heavy snow on top of tree's, roof tops, awnings; etc. Do not let your children unsupervised near open pools, lakes or ponds.
Stay home if you do not need to go out. If the streets are clear from heavy traffic then our city officials and emergency crews can perform their jobs quicker, safer and in a more economical way. Avoid tickets by following ALL parking rules that the city puts in effect.
Above all have a great weekend.
