    Hummer in flood

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     oakrockranch says it rains this hard every couple of years in California. His Hummer is high enough to avoid getting water in the engine.

    Here are a few snap shots of our H2 Hummer in action. We live in a rural area of North San Diego County where the highway floods during heavy rain storms. This one section of road is attempted by some, avoided by others and passable only by those in a Hummer. I had to pull several cars out of the swamp that tried driving through the 3 foot deep "lake". I'd have included a picture of the Prius that was in the mix too, but it was completely under water with it's batteries shorting out like a hair dryer in a bath tub!
