Result of the tsnami on Pitcairn Island
Heres a couple of photos of the effects of the Chile tsnami which struck Pitcairn Island in the South Pacific this moring at approximately 8:50am. The main bay where the longboats usually tie up was almost totally empited of water followied by a 2.5 meter surge. This surge occured in a series of five surges occuring over a period of two hours. No damage was done and we received the warning well in advance in the early hours of this morning.
