A tragic loss in the Osmond family

Today, one of the most famous families in entertainment suffered a great and tragic loss. The sudden death of Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond, has devastated the entire Osmond clan. Michael jumped to his death Friday night from his apartment building in Los Angeles.  It has been reported by ETOnline that he left a note behind which refers to his life long battle with depression. "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time,"  his mother said through her publicist Saturday.
On Saturday morning, Donny Osmond, Michael's uncle and Marie's famous sibling, requested : "Please pray for my sister and her family."

In November of 2007, at the age of 16, Michael entered  a rehab center, but it was never disclosed exactly for what he was being treated.

It was announced in March of 2007 that Marie Osmond and her husband, Brian Blosil, were divorcing after 21 years of marriage. They had two biological children and adopted five others, one of which was Michael.  Blosil also adopted Osmond's child from her first marriage.
This is not the only recent loss in the Osmond family. Within the last five years both the patriarch and matriarch of the entire clan passed away, which was a very big loss for such a close knit family. Now they have to come to terms with the passing of one of their youngest family members.
