    Crumbling and shattering in Santiago

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Some of these images appear to be sideways due to the way they were uploaded on our site. MelChile says she waited out the quake by standing in the door jamb of the hostel where she was staying. She walked around Santiago, Chile, taking photos of the damage to a museum and a park bench hit by a tree.

    A few shots from this morning's earthquake.  It rocked for a minute, causing all this destruction. . .and more.  Plus a shot of the firestation that was going from 4 a.m. on.  And still going in Providencia, Ave. Vicuna Mackenna.
