    Time Lapse of Times Square

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     JoyfulGypsy told me she was looking to tell two stories with this time-lapse (her first!): "I not only wanted to show the traffic and people but also the changing images up on the big screens."
    - lila, CNN iReport producer

Attached is my very first attempt at time lapse photography.  I created this clip by putting my camera on a tripod to help keep it steady and manually fired off one shot every two seconds.  Then, I imported all the pictures into iMovie and set it to show each picture for .25 seconds.

I realize there are much easier ways to do it.  Some cameras have a time lapse feature conveniently built into them.  However, my camera does not have this feature and I wanted to show how this effect can be created with any point and shoot camera.

This was a fun assignment and a learning experience for me.  It will be fun practicing and perfecting this new technique.  Thanks, iReport.
