"Transitioning" - Briarpatch March 3, 2010
BJ was admitted to hospice a couple of weeks ago and has been doing pretty well. Last Saturday I pushed his wheelchair out into the yard and he sat down by the pond with the dogs while I trimmed bushes. On Sunday afternoon he again became weak, unable to communicate and would not eat or drink. I managed to get him into bed. Three days later he is still there and still will not eat. Hospice says he is "transitioning". Now I guess I understand what that means, even though I don't want to.
