    More than seven hundred San Jose State University students, faculty, and staff participated in a rally Thursday afternoon protesting sharp tuition hikes and cuts in higher education in California.  In the last year, the state has increased tuition by thirty percent.  This report was done by eight advanced broadcast journalism students.
