Saving the Fastest Ship in the World
The Fastest Ship in the World is at risk of becoming nothing more than scrap metal. From a career of being America’s Queen Mary – she has sailed the Atlantic with impressive record breaking speed, carried the rich and famous and now sits idle in the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After being for sale for a year, the current owners of the S.S. United States are looking to unload the vessel, now confirming to accept bids to scrap the vessel.
America’s Liner, nearly forgotten for 4 decades, is nearing its end, the Island of Long Beach is trying to save America’s Great Vessel, to preserve history and reintroduce a new generation to old fashioned Ocean Travels. The Island of Long Beach invites you to be a part of history in saving America’s Liner from scrap.
Tell your friends, family and loved ones – forward this i-report and share with the world that History is important and it should remain a part of all our lives.
