South Africa, getting ready for the World Cup

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Igel shot photos of preparation for the World Cup during a recent trip to South Africa.
    - nsaidi, CNN iReport producer

On a recent trip to South Africa, I was witness to the immense joy that the upcoming Soccer World Cup is bringing to the people. Everywhere you looked, there were signs,

starting with a helicopter dragging a sign with a countdown of the remaining days,

a view of the new Cape Town stadium in absolute breathtaking surroundings,

a fan already promenading with all the ingredients needed to celebrate African style, including the Wuwuselas and tribal attributes,

the stadium in Johannesburg in African earth tones,

Zakumi, the mascot of the World cup,

Stadium in Durban, where you can go onto the top of the stadium by "Sky Car" and have a look inside from VERY UP TOP,

the communication tower in Johannesburg, dressed for the World Cup,

    traffic signs,

"Make sure you can say you were there".

It was impossible not to get into the mood, and I hope that the World Cup will be everything South Africa hopes it will be.

    Good Luck! You deserve it!
