My husband and I live in a small apartment and don't have much option for changing or updated appliances, windows etc... but we are doing what we can to be as green as possible. We live on a major bus line, so my husband takes the bus everyday to work. I only commute about 10 minutes to my job. We recycle just about everything that is recycleable with the facilities available in our citiy (unfotunately there are some plastic products that we don't have the ability to recycle) We reuse our containers and bring our our reusable cloth bags to the grocery store. Both us us drive 4 cylinder vehicles which don't see a lot of use other than my daily drive to work and back. I try to run errands on my way home from work and luckly I never have to go out of my way as most of what we need is on my way home.

We never run our air conditioning. We cover our south-facing windows in the summer to keep the heat out and try to let the sun in to heat up the place in the winter (the winters are COLD here).

Our green efforts aren't perfect, but we improve everyday.
