Band to Perform Green World Tour in a Day

Columbia, Missouri – March 9th, 2010 - The Follow will embark on perhaps the most eco-friendly world tour that a band has ever attempted. Through the virtual world of Second Life, the Columbia, Missouri trio will perform their Panoramic Rock in five countries for their World Tour in a Day. The shows begin at 6:00 AM for the Midwestern band and end after 11:00 PM taking the band on a whirlwind tour of planet Earth.

Influenced by U2, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd, The Follow have enjoyed sharing stages with various artists such as Plain White T’s, Billy Corgan’s Zwan, & Gravity Kills. With six albums, one DVD, and hundreds of live performances, The Follow received airplay on college and commercial radio across North America while supporting the releases by touring in the United States and Europe.

The band entered the virtual world of Second Life (SL) in 2009 as way to continue touring while protecting the environment, not to mention their wallets! The band members drive a Honda Insight hybrid to the broadcast location, they use energy-efficient LED lights for their show environment, and most distribution to national and international radio & press is accomplished digitally eliminating plastic CDs, paper envelops, and transportation resources.

Their accessible brand of radio-friendly rock and amazing live shows, that have been called “a spiritual experience”, placed them on the fast track to success inside SL. The Follow is now hailed the biggest band “in world”. Friday, March 26th, 2010 is The Follow’s World Tour in a Day reaching five countries in one day without ever leaving home! Non-Second Life users can also watch the video stream on the band’s website at TheFollow.com.
