Nude Men At The Edge of Manhattan Rooftops

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     sjunat55 told me, 'Every local TV station had crews there interviewing passers-by about the exhibit that officially opens at the end of the month.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

One of the first of a series of 31 life-sized fiberglass statues of naked male figures was placed on the rooftop of a three story building across the street from Madison Square Park in New York City.

It's all part of an art project created by Antony Gormley orginally shown in a London exhibition.

Other figures will be placed on top of buildings along the area and, for closer inspection, on the ground in Madison Square Park.

A spokesman for the NYPD admitted the department is concerned about the public mistaking the figures for jumpers, triggering a rush of 911 calls.

Here's a look at the naked man placed on top of 204 Fifth Avenue.
