    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     MThompson22 says he felt the quake and wanted to document its effects: "I had just grabbed my camera during the previous earthquake. I was sitting in my kitchen when I heard plates and cabinets rattle, and began to feel the floor tremble. I walked into the doorway to protect myself and meanwhile filmed this video. I captured the plant fronds shaking violently outside and the chandelier swaying. I was shaking myself, which makes some of this movement difficult to see."

    This is a view of the earthquake from  my apartment in Providencia, Santiago during the first aftershock (6.9 magnitude) following the 7.2 quake.  Notice the plants outside and the light fixture shake from the seismic waves.
