THE NIGERIAN GENOCIDE: OUR CHILDREN DEAD EVERYWHERE! 3/7/10 PART ONE.

I am Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo, a freelance  International Journalist from Nigeria. I am based in the Ottawa area of Canada and when I heard the news, I was blogging the academy awards stunned when these images started coming in! I appeared on CNN American Morning and Larry King Live during the Mutallab alleged terror incident on the Nigerian connection and now we have just experienced a tragedy even as close to my home. Many children in my community were senselessly butchered and murdered savagely. Our children are the future and in this the 50th year of our independence on October 1st 2010, it saddens me that this can still be happening.

Our former President Obasanjo says it is mainly due to ethnic, social and economic pressures. That is a big problematic reason for Nigerians to swallow! However all Nigerians themselves need to mobilize their communities immediately and we will need help from the United Nations. I personally think there is an aspect of religion involved as the victims were mostly Christians and January's casualties were mostly muslim.

These people are villagers that are content with their life and some don't even know what is going on in the big cities like Abuja and Lagos. So what does a pregnant woman and child have to do with ethnic, social and economic problems? Most were macheted and/or houses burned down during their sleep! Many even recognized the voices of the attackers in the dark as people who used to live there....the nomadic herdsmen.

These murderers need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law! They have murdered our children!!! Up to 500 women and children. May they all rest in peace. We need our leaders to mobilize our country ASAP! Too many citizens have fled Nigeria because of this religious persecution. HELP!! Please we need President Clinton and the United nations!
