Stories from Second Life |
Velvet Garter Events
Teased by the promise to see a remarkable Red Hot Chilli Pepper concert i accepted the invitation to the Velvet Garter Sim and was surprised by the stylish appearance of the whole Sim. A friendly greeter guided me to the actual stage where the Cutting Edge Concerts group performed an excellent RHCP concert. The friendly welcome from other guests was just the extra mile that made me feel home. In this wonderful atmosphere i could hold my curiosity, about the actual performance, barely back. Marcus Steeplecase from the Second Pride Group opened the concert with cheering words and the atmosphere tended to boil over as the first guitar rifs waved through the speakers. This marvelous impression was confirmed because soon started everyone to invite his friends and the dancefloor got full in short time.
By chance i had a nice talk with the charming owner Judy Greymoon and she told me how it all started with a simple search for a cozy home for her and her wife Lyndi Writer and that a honeymoon concert from Pink started all her concert activities. Now the Cutting Edge Group performs every week.
I expressed my wishes to Judy that i would love to bring another story about her and her Sim, because it is simply a success story that deserves recognition and one that can be a role model for newbies too.
Marcus Steeplechase is very thankful for the support from Judy and the Velvet Garter Team and finds it truly awesome when clubs like the Velvet Garter team up with big concert producers like Cutting Edge and put together wonderful shows in support for Second Pride.
