Sardana, a Spanish kind of Tai Chi
A large group of elderly people gathered in a square in the beautiful city of Barcelona (Spain) to show the public that an ancient dance similar to "tai chi" helps them to keep in shape in a relaxing way and using a melodic musical mantra (mens sana in corpore sano). In the second video of this ireport we can see how this great multitude of people makes a big circle to accumulate more "qi" and expand this energy chain for the welfare of body and mind.
The Sardana is the name of this ancient dance. It is a Spanish kind of "tai chi" that conveys serenity and shows traces of the culture and tradition of a region of Spain called Catalonia.
