When these Tea Parties started, I laughed them off. I still do. I laugh even more when the leaders of the Tea Party try to say they're a grass roots organization and the Coffee Party is an Astro-Turf, corporate funded organization. I don't understand... do these people not realize there's something called the INTERNET... where people can look this stuff up? Do they just cross their fingers and hope only old people who don't know how to use a computer are watching?

I mean, you see self-important blow hards like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity showing up at these events, advertising them on their "news" channel, and they even have something called the TEA PARTY EXPRESS. So tell me, when is it not being sponsored by a corporation when your every move, your every event is covered by a major "news" network? Sure, CNN is covering the COFFEE PARTY and the TEA PARTY, but they're doing it as news. Anderson Cooper isn't out there screaming his head off about when he'll be showing up with a speech and a show at the next coffee party, is he?

The Tea Party is a mish mash of uneducated, uninformed, misinformed, mostly white people. These people actually believe our nation was founded to be a Christian nation, by Christians for Christians. You see them with their signs,OBAMA'S A SOCIALIST, OBAMA CARE = AUSCHWITZ, and those stupid pictures of Obama as The Joker from The Dark Knight.  I'm sure they're not all crazy, but that's what you see at the rallies, Fox News events, the Tea Party Convention, Tea Party websites, bumper stickers, t-shirts, hats, mugs, floor mats. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably not a swan.

Oh, and by the way, as a geek, one of my biggest peeves with these Tea Party folk just happens to be that Obama as The Joker sign. It just doesn't make any sense to me. How is Obama like The Joker in The Dark Knight? The Joker in that film was an ANARCHIST. These people accuse Obama of being a SOCIALIST and mock him up to look like an ANARCHIST? I don't get it. Even making him look like Hitler doesn't make sense. Hitler was a FASCIST.

I guess it just goes to show you the competency level of these people who can't follow a Batman movie... No offense to Batman movies.
