    Paris from High in the Eiffel Tower

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     yadray ascended to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the best views of ole Paris. He did learn a valuable lesson: "Check all photo gear carefully before doing such an assignment. I didn't have the correct filter and a battery went dead. Good thing I made two separate trips."

    At the time is was built in 1887  for the World's Faire The Eiffel Tower , 1063 feet high was the highest structure in France... it remains the second highest...For the most part, except for the commercial center known as la Defense the architecture of Päris rarely exceeds more than 10 stories.

    .....it was a chilly //..windy..//..hazy morning..and to give you fresh baked views of Paree, all the photos were taken before noon......enjoy...

    ...once I catch my breath I'll submit a second report...photos from the Eiffel Tower at night..

    ....ooh la la.....!!

     

    #1..Arc d'Triomphe

    #2  view north across the River Seine towards la Defense

    #3  West view..;down the River Seine

    #5. Mont Parnasse Tower..that's haze...not pollution..too early in the day for that.

    #7. Trocadero (culture exposition center).. La Defense in the background

    #8. view to the east... the Pantheon...Musée de l'Armee (gold roof)

    #9..Radio France

    #10 .Sacre Coeur church
