    Views from the Eiffel Tower at Night...

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     yadray ascended to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the best views of ole Paris. He did learn a valuable lesson: "Check all photo gear carefully before doing such an assignment. I didn't have the correct filter and a battery went dead. Good thing I made two separate trips."

    Paris...photos taken last night from the summit of the 1063 foot tall Eiffel Tower which was built for the 1887 World' s Faire ......

     

     

     

    Photo #1.view directly north...La Defense...business/commercial center

     

    Photo #2..Trocadero exposition Center with La Defense directly behind.

     

    Photo #3...View to the east direction of the Louvre Museum...up the River Seine

     

    Photo #4..Arc d'Triomphe.

     

    Photo #5...View just east of Trocadero with the Arc d'Triomphe center screen.

     

    Photo #6..View west down-river with the Statue of Liberty...center screen middle bridge facing west..back to camera..difficult to see.

     

    Photo #9..View directly south... open park-like area the Champs-de-Mars...originally designated for military exercises in the early 19th century.
