Fishing for Steelhead Trout- How to Take a Day Off From iReport
The Salmon River in Pulaski, NY has some of the finest Steelhead Trout fishing in Upstate New York.
My buddy, Jay Robbins, who I used to work with at YellowBookUSA,called me the night before and said he had a client cancel on a Guided trip down the Salmon River. He asked what I was doing and I said, "Goin' fishin'!"
This was the first time I'd gone down the river in a drift boat. I've fished this river and had some luck from the shore. But having a guide row and bait the hooks is much more fun.
Shane, our guide and owner of The River Guide fishing tours was great! He knew exactly where the fish would be. Jay and I caught our limit and I caught a nice 12 pound Steelhead trout as you see in the picture.
The videos and photos are of our adventure Wednesday of this week.
Thought I'd show how to do some steelhead fishing.
