    Up..//..Down ..and around the Eiffel Tower

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     yadray ascended to the top of the Eiffel Tower for the best views of ole Paris. He did learn a valuable lesson: "Check all photo gear carefully before doing such an assignment. I didn't have the correct filter and a battery went dead. Good thing I made two separate trips."

    Paris...1063 feet vertical...about a 2 minute elevator ride to the summit...

     

    Photos 4 & 5..a room recreated to resemble the room Eiffel maintained on the summit to welcome guests...with the wax figures of Gustave Eiffel (photo 4), architect of the tower, and Thomas Edison (photo 5) who visted Eiffel on September 10, 1889 and presented him with a phonograph..

     

    Photo #9..Riverside center is the anthropology museum Quai Branly.

     

    Photo # 10..view to the south east...Mont Parnasse Tower..primarily business and some apartments..
