U.S. Treasury Should Increase The "Cashless" Money Supply For U.S.A. Residents Only
We all need more money. So let's give it to ourselves and stop being stingy with the cash. The Treasury doesn't have to print more money. Most use debit cards nowadays. So what we need is more money created electronically. This would be easy.
Everyone should have enough to buy what they need. Most problems start with the need for more money. So credit everyone's card each month with an extra $1000 a week and let them spend it.
The rules for this electronic money would be:
You can't save it, invest it, or hoard it. It can't be spent on imported goods because those would have to be paid for with real U.S. Dollars.
Get it? Monopoly money and we'd all have enough. Schools and State Governments would be able to pay for their expenses too. Yes, taxes could be paid with the newly created currency. Banks would accept it for mortgage payments and credit card payments.
This would be strictly an internal credit system and as the recession passed the amount per week would be phased out to normal.
Just freeze prices to a yearly increase pegged to inflation, a COLA, and credit everyone debit with more cash. The only thing is, it can't be used to buy anything that comes from overseas or out side the USA.
This would be a new cashless currency. Wouldn't you like to make a $1000 a week for working at a convenient food store. People would have better attitudes about the jobs they did if they were paid better.
Just a thought..a fun solution for this country's problems.
