Coffee Party in Rome - Coffee and Unity

Although we currently live in Italy, we are - first of all - Americans, who care deeply about our country.  We watch the U.S. news and it saddens us to see our country so divided. We liked the ideas behind the Coffee Party, so we joined on Facebook and wanted to participate in the national Coffee Party event today.

We want  dialogue with whoever cares to join us. We believe that we are at our best when we can look at each other as fellow Americans instead of just a label.

You can read more about the Coffee Party on their website at:            http://coffeepartyusa.com/

"We the People demand: Reason and civility in public affairs; A government accountable to the People; Liberty & Justice for All.

The Coffee Party Movement gives voice to Americans who want to see cooperation in government. We recognize that the federal government is not the enemy of the people, but the expression of our collective will, and that we must participate in the democratic process in order to address the challenges that we face as Americans. As voters and grassroots volunteers, we will support leaders who work toward positive solutions, and hold accountable those who obstruct them."
