Weekend Assignment: View from up high |
It Was A Dam Day
Photos by Janie Lambert

TVA Norris Dam a few miles from home.
The water levels were really low today.
We had not been to the state park in years and were broken hearted to see our old "swimming hole" neglected and over grown.
Photos were made around dusk from a top the dam, over looking both sides.
Norris Dam Park was once a most visited state park.
Cuts in funding have left this attraction in shambles.
Another couple was overlooking the dam. We reminisced about the days we took our now 30 something year old kids to swim, play at the park and buy some delicious icecream cones. We could only shake our heads in disbelief.
