Severe weather |
Strong winds push tree into driveway
Saturday's strong winds push over a tree in the front yard. Thankfully it landed away from the house and into our driveway but away from the cars. Upon further inspection of the remaining stump, i noticed It was riddled with holes. I then saw it was infested with carpenter ants. Which would explain why the tree was so weak. We had actually noticed a week prior that the tree was slanting a bit. The very night it happened, we mentioned it and no later had that happend we heard a crack and a smash as the tree fell. The next morning myself, my cousin and two uncles went out to clear it from the driveway. I also saw that a neighbors tree across the street had been uprooted and toppled over.
These are a few pictures i took of my cousin and my two uncle's cutting it up our tree Sunday.
