    Why do the church and other religious organizations feel the need to tell us what any fourth grader should know.

     

    Yes, I know, there is a large faction of "Patriotic Americans", led by the likes of Dick Cheney who believe that the United States is somehow absolved from these crimes, but any of us with a smattering of intelligence and compassion for the human race knows better.

     

    You don't have to be religious to know what is right and what is wrong.

     

    Many church signs that I see, in their effort to be poignant, end up coming across as just plain simple minded.
