    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     martinazj said that all the downed trees and powerlines made her and her family feel like lab mice trying to find their way through a labyrinth.

    Driving home (Stamford, CT) from LaGuardia airport where we landed at about 11pm on March 13, 2010. Under normal circumstances, we would be home at about 1:20am, but we did not know what mother nature unleashed around our home town. After exiting I-95 at about 1am we encountered one un-passable road after another. We kept trying different roads throughout the night, until we finally made it home at 9am.
