    Plane Crashes and Kills 1 Person - Hilton Head Island, SC

    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     dfraggd didn't see the plane hit the man but his girlfriend did. She says she thought the plane was flying low on purpose and never thought it would hit anyone. The couple are college students on spring break and say it'll be hard to not think about this incident during their trip. CNN affiliate WJCL reports two people on the plane were not hurt.

    A small plane crashed around 6:30 PM EST on a Hilton Head Island Beach. Before crashing, an individual was struck in the upper body and appears to have been killed. The plane crashed into shallow water about 50 yards after striking the individual. The pilot appears to be unharmed. The picture shows the crash scene and the unidentified victim.
