Change Is Never Easy- Get Health Reform Passed!

America has been through many changes and the hardest changes that America faced were never easy. If brave people like Martin Luther King, abolitionists that helped slaves escape, and many other brave souls had not put their lives on the line , I would still be sitting on the back of a bus or not being allowed to drink from a fountain of my choice. I'm sure the brave people in the civil rights days went through many hardships and I know many nights they probably wanted to just give up. But they kept pressing on. Because of their bravery I am free and my children are free.

Health care reform is being challenged for many reasons. Some people have valid concerns but if we wait again as the Republicans want us to this will never happen. There are many people opposed to this bill too for selfish reasons. Statements such as " This will break Obama  if we can stop this, this will be his waterloo." Games of hate  and power are being played at the expense of the sick and dying. I don't even want to think about the money and greed probably greasing some greasy hands. This bill is not perfect but it's a start and I'm sure it can be improved upon. What would really help is competition for the greedy insurance cartels. Not being denied for a pre existing condition is big on my list and I look forward to health reform.
