Krysuvik Geothermal Zone, Reykjanes Peninsula Iceland, 1/4/2010
Krysuvik is located on the Reykjanes peninsula approximately 40 km SSW of Reykjavik.
It is located in the middle of the fissure zone on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge which traverses Iceland diagonally from the south-west to the north-east of the island. Krýsuvík is one of Iceland's hottest (underground) areas.
