This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops |
Serving on the homefront
My husband, 1LT William Carter, is currently serving in Iraq. This is our first deployment and over the years we have watched together the "Salute to Troops" and I would secretly hope and pray that I would never have to send my husband off to war. It is only now that I can truly understand and appreciate what those that have served before us have sacrificed. My husband is the love of my life and the father of our four beautiful children: 3 boys and a baby gir that was just born in December. Being an Army wife isn't always easy, but I am so proud of my soldier and am committed to standing by him and serving on the homefront while he serves all of us overseas! We miss him terribly and can not wait to have him back home with us!
